The Life DSG makes up the other nine, hovering between R369,900 and R559,000. Most are recent — think 2022 to 2024, with mileage under 15,000 km, so you’re basically looking at demo returns and ex-fleet stock that haven’t been flogged. That’s good news, because you’re getting a nearly-new car for less than the 16 brand new ones dealers are still pushing. Why would you pick the Taigo over a Venue or Sonet? Refinement, plain and simple. That DSG is smooth around town, and the VW badge still means something to South African buyers. The cabin, too, feels a cut above the Koreans — better laid out, more grown up, and just that bit more premium for your spend.
