It’s here, in a segment where that’s more brochure fodder than reality. With forty H6 GTs listed countrywide, prices from R349,990 to R665,950, and most hovering just under R500k, it’s clear this isn’t a car you’ll spot at every intersection in Sandton. That price tag, well below the Tiguan norm, is the real headline — and that’s the point. Now, the S-Luxury 7DCT 4WD is basically the H6 GT story in South Africa. Thirty-seven of those forty cars are this trim, covering the entire price spread. Most are 2023 models, showing about 25,690 km — so you’re looking at cars that have barely tasted Joburg traffic. That’s a big deal if you want something almost-new without the sting of first-owner depreciation. The so-called Super Luxury 4x4 DCT is rare, just three for sale, all squeezed into a narrow price range. There are nearly three times as many used as new, which tells you buyers see more sense in pre-owned H6 GTs — on paper at least, R420k for a 2023 model lands you in the same arena as the Sportage and CX-5, but with 4WD and that coupe roofline. South Africans, it seems, like a bit of drama with their value, and the H6 GT delivers exactly that.
