Most buyers land on the GL+ CVT, which totally dominates the listings—28 out of 40 cars, all hovering around that R273,000 mark. There’s a clear sweet spot for the budget-focused GA manual, sitting at R229,900 to R239,950, and that tight R10k range over nine cars tells you why: people are counting every rand. Used Dzires average just 466 km, so if you find one, you’re snagging a demo, not a beater. Where the Dzire stands out against the Polo Vivo sedan is in giving you more cabin space for the size and lower monthly running costs, which matters, especially with fuel creeping up again. The Almera sometimes gives you more metal for your money, but Suzuki’s regular service intervals and easy parts supply keep things stress-free, and that’s the point.
